The Challenge:
An established alpaca farm and petting zoo with an outdated website that had become text-heavy and difficult to maintain. They wanted a picture-forward design that showcased their 20+ animal species and variety of interactive experiences. During the migration, I discovered the old site had been targeted by a brute-force attack — fortunately unsuccessful. These attacks are alarmingly common: over 90% of hacked websites run on WordPress.
The Solution:
I built the entire site from scratch using modern technology that's fundamentally more secure — there's no login page to attack and no database to exploit. Reformatted content and edited 250+ photos for optimal web display. Built a custom digital waiver system integrated with their booking platform — saving them potentially hundreds of dollars per day during peak season compared to DocuSign.
